Conference on Game Innovation

11th Edition · 25 June 2026 · EXPO-Łódź,
Łódź, Poland

2026

The Conference on Game Innovation (CGI) is an international interdisciplinary forum for the exchange of knowledge and experience, bringing together academia, industry, and the community of practitioners involved in creating and studying video games.
Since its inaugural edition in 2016, CGI has served as a meeting point for researchers, educators, developers, and students passionate about the past, present, and future of games. The 2026 edition — the 11th in a row — focuses on educational, research, and technological innovations in Game Development, with a special emphasis on game development education at every level.

CGI 2026 is organized in conjunction with the Finals of ZTGK (Zespołowe Tworzenie Gier Komputerowych) — the largest academic game development competition in Poland and one of the largest in Europe, running since 2008.
ZTGK gives students and pupils the opportunity to present their video game, mobile game, VR experience, graphic concept, or animation projects to a wide panel of professionals from leading national and international game studios — including Infinity Ward, Techland, 11 bit studios, and Bloober Team. Winners often receive job offers or publishing deals directly at the event.

Papers and posters should be submitted via the conference submission system. The submission web page for CGI 2026 is:
